Boost Your Corporate Sales in April
No matter how much a company trims its workforce, secretarial support is still the backbone of every firm. This highly-skilled position, whether under the title of receptionist, clerk, secretary, or administrative executive, is prized by executives because the person in charge knows how to balance duties with discretion.
He or she is the one who ultimately runs the office, and in April, that person will be rewarded with a gift that expresses appreciation and gratitude.
Selling gift baskets to large and small companies for Administrative Professionals Week starts with documenting your contacts at each company. It doesn’t matter if you know the janitor or junior vice president; the key is to ask the person for their order and get referrals to contact others in charge of purchasing this year’s gifts.
Your inventory must be filled with a selection of foods and gifts that will reward those who serve in the front office and board room. When you’re ready to show your best baskets, in person and on your Web site, encourage prospects to buy from you to thank their support staff for a job well done.
The CD, 10 Sure-Fire Ways to Cash In on Administrative Professionals Week, provides detailed advice to gain sales that guarantee corporate orders well after April ends. Read, on this page, a full list on what’s included on this popular CD.

Administrative Professionals day is Wednesday April 23, 2008. The administrative assistant is a very important person in every business. Lets take a moment to think and reflect back on all they do to keep our businesses running smoothly. Without them we could not survive the demands everyday business brings. My Uncle for example is a medical doctor and over the 20+ years in medicine I have come to know his 2 administrative assistants very well. They are considered family. They have the professionalism and knack to handle all types of patients, run the office so smoothly that they always receive compliments on it by everyone. Gift Baskets, Chocolate Strawberries and Chocolate Covered Pretzels are just some of the unique gifts sure to surprise the special people in your office.
My hope is that gift basket designers worldwide express the same sentiments about support staff as you have to encourage supervisors to select bountiful gift baskets for each of them.
Administrative staff everywhere deserve a special thanks this year and every year.
Back when I worked in the capacity of a secretary/administrative assistant, I looked forward to that special day. Although most of the desks were lined with flowers or plants, I’m sure that many of us would have preferred a gift basket filled with tasty goodies. Afterall, they last a little longer than fresh flowers.
The same is true for me, Consuela.
I, too, was always presented with flowers. My worse memory of that day was once, when the flowers died, the woman boss took the vase that held the flowers because it was beautiful cut glass, and she wanted it.
The vase was delivered as part of the gift, so the boss hadn’t lent it to me. I guess she figured she could take anything she wanted. What a cheapskate.
